Define: Googlestate

Before this blog gets underway, I want to make a statement about the meaning and purpose of this blog. This is not, a some might think, an attack against Google. This is not an attempt to bring down their stock prices, or put them out of business. There's a recession for that.

No, the purpose of this blog is to show people what our world could become if anyone with access to all information we thought we controlled, took over. I simply chose the name "Googlestate" as shorthand for any such world order. If you are offended by this name, fell free to call this concept a "Yahoostate", a "Facebookstate," or a "Bingstate."

Say you search for Define:Googlestate, you will find next to nothing. So I'll define it for you.

Googlestate: (Noun) Any company, public or private, with access to large amounts of personal information, which, by any means, takes control of the world government.

You may say that, because I am using the name Googlestate, that I mean harm to Google. Not at all. I use Google everyday, for research and email. I use Google as much, if not more, than any other person. I simply chose the name for shorthand because Google is the most widely used and most well know Web search engine. It has the most features and products outside of the web, with more on the way, many of which scare me to think about if they were used against us.

In my next three posts, releasing over the next week, I will explain how a Googlestate could be born. For now, I leave you with a solemn charge.
